<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode material for a high temperature fuel cell having proper durability and being suitable for combination with an electrolyte layer whose airtightness is held. <P>SOLUTION: This anode material is a porous composite body material having heterogeneous phase of a solid material formed by two netlike textures including the first netlike texture of a ceramic material in which particles connected by sintering are mutually intertwined and the second netlike texture of a metallic material. The first netlike texture is composed of large and small ceramic particles, their respective average diameter d<SB>50</SB>is larger than 5 μm or smaller than 1 μm, and 50 to 80% of the first netlike textures are formed by large ceramic particles. Irreversible change of length of a sample by a redox cycle test at at least the same temperature as operation temperature of a fuel cell is smaller than 0.002, preferably, smaller than 0.0005. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
