<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an element manufacturing method that shortens a manufacturing time and more improves the element performance of a nonlinear resistor incorporated principally in an arrestor. <P>SOLUTION: The side of a molded body is coated with an insulating material and subjected to preheating or preheating and burning with a continuous temperature pattern while being irradiated with a microwave.
