PURPOSE:To attain the saving, back-up and loading actions equivalent to those of several conventional devices by using an optical disk device in place of an external memory of a high speed and large capacity to perform said actions. CONSTITUTION:A system program 29 starts an optical disk controller 26 to write the data and programs 210 and 211 read out onto a main memory 28 to an optical disk device 23. Then the controller 26 writes the data fetched from the memory 28 and the programs 210 and 211 successively to the device 23 via an optical disk mechanism 27. Then the data stored in magnetic disk devices 21 and 22 and programs 210 and 211 are saved and backed up to the device 23. While the data and the program 212 stored in the device 23 are sent backward via a bus 215 and stored to the memory 28. Those data and programs are sent back to the devices 21 and 22 by the program 29 via buses 213 and 214. Then the data and the program 212 are loaded to the devices 21 and 22. |
