PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable bead for a tire capable of reducing the total weight of the bead by forming a circular core material by connecting a light material. SOLUTION: This cable bead 21 for the tire is formed by spirally winding a wire around the peripheral surface of the circular core material 22. The circular core material 22 is constituted of a pipe material 24. Both ends of the pipe material 24 are provided with protruding connection portions 24a, 24b having a small diameter shape. The outer peripheries of the connection portions 24a, 24b are respectively provided with a recessed portion 26 and a protruding portion 27. The connection portions 24a, 24b on both ends of the pipe material 24 are mutually connected through a nipple 28 including a protruding portion 28a and a recessed portion 28b which are capable of being engaged with the recessed portion 26 and the protruding portion 27.
