PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee protector allowing a knee protection panel to be arranged at a standby position by improving parting from an interior material without reducing mounting workability. SOLUTION: In the knee protector S1, in vehicle collision, the knee protection panel 21 is delivered from the standby position P0 surrounded with the interior material 12 to the back side of the vehicle by a driving mechanism 35, and is arranged on the front side of the knee K of an occupant M, and the knee K moving forward is protected by the knee protection panel 21. The driving mechanism 35 has a holding section 38 for holding the knee protection panel 21 so that it is moved backward. The joint of the holding section to the knee protection panel is provided with engaging sections 28 and 33 that engage with each other, prevent displacement movement of the knee protection panel with respect to the holding section, and move the knee protection panel backward during backward movement of the holding section by operation of the driving mechanism, and enable the vertical and lateral displacement movement of the knee protection panel with respect to the holding section before the operation of the driving mechanism.
