The gain control (CG1) and bias current control (CCP1) are established for each variable-gain amplifier (PA1) based on filtered digital information, control information, polynomial digital regulation performed by RST type polynomial digital regulator whose polynomial coefficients are determined from input parameters of the variable gain amplifier and filter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an amplifier system; and (2) a cellular mobile telephone.
