PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector which can be driven with small electric power to the utmost and which can be configured with a small use amount of hardware. SOLUTION: The temperature detector is provided with: a temperature sensitive resistive element circuit 4 in which a temperature sensitive resistive element 7 and a voltage dividing resistor 8 are connected in series; a power supply circuit 2 for inputting a constant voltage to the temperature sensitive resistive element circuit 4; an A/D converter 11 for detecting the voltage values of both the ends of the temperature sensitive resistive element circuit 4 and the voltage values of both the ends of the voltage dividing resistor 8; a reference table storage means 13 for storing temperature detection data T for the voltage generated at both the ends of the voltage dividing resistor 8 according to the voltage values of both the ends of the temperature sensitive resistive element circuit 4, as a reference table; and a temperature reference means 12 for reading out, from the reference table storage means 13, the temperature detection data T corresponding to the voltage values generated at both the ends of the temperature sensitive resistive element circuit 4 and the voltage values generated at both the ends of the voltage dividing resistor 8 detected by the A/D converter 11, and for outputting them as the temperature detection data T.
