<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect leakage of fluid from an opening and closing valve accurately. <P>SOLUTION: An ejector 52 is provided at a diluter 30 and off-gas exhausted from an oxygen electrode of a fuel cell stack flows into the ejector 52. When cathode off gas passes into the ejector 52, anode off-gas is sucked through an exhaust valve 26. A control unit 80 measures the pressure, flow velocity, and temperature of the cathode off-gas when the exhaust valve 26 is closed and estimates the pressure of the anode off-gas in the cavity part 27 from these parameters. The control unit 80 detects leakage of the anode off-gas from the exhaust valve 26 by comparing this estimated value with the actual measured value of the pressure of the anode off-gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
