PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a methylhexamine condensed borate useful in various industrial fields including a curing agent for a novolak phenolic resin. SOLUTION: The methylhexamine condensed borate is expressed by formula (1). Preferably the borate is a crystalline hexamine condensed borate. Especially, the hexamine condensed borate is produced by reacting 1 mol of hexamine with 2-10 mol of an inorganic boric acid compound in terms of boron. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
