TREATMENT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and an apparatus for industrial wastewater which enable reduction of ozone consumption and power consumption by improving treatment efficiency of a metal cyanide complex, improve injection efficiency of ozone, and enable effective use of waste ozone. SOLUTION: The industrial wastewater treatment method comprises the first decomposition process for injecting ozone into the industrial wastewater containing a metal cyanide complex and irradiating the wastewater with ultraviolet light to generate free cyanogen mainly from the metal cyanide complex, and the second decomposition process for injecting ozone into the free cyanogen-containing water generated in the first process to decompose the free cyanogen into nitrogen and carbon dioxide.
