PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display module and a liquid crystal display apparatus equipped with the same capable of preventing crack of an driver IC without using a reinforcing tape etc. by realizing a thin liquid crystal display module and by making a robust structure. SOLUTION: An embossing part 14 is formed on an edge 1b opposite from the driver IC 4 on a front frame. The embossing part 14 is formed so that a cross section may be approximately in a W shape with a recessed part 14a and a projected part 14b, and a frame part 3b of a liquid crystal panel is pressed and fixed by the recessed part 14a. As strength of an orthogonal direction to a longitudinal direction of the edge 1b of the front frame is increased by the embossing part 14, bending of the front frame and the liquid crystal panel is suppressed and the crack generation of the driver IC 4 is effectively prevented. Moreover, as the front frame is strengthened without thickening and broadening materials, a thin and light liquid crystal module with a narrow frame is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
