<p>The invention relates to a motor vehicle flexible axle (1) having two longitudinal swinging arms (2a, 2b) in which each swinging arm (2a, 2b) has an inner face (7) facing the other swinging arm and has an opposite outer face (8) facing toward the outside of the vehicle. The inventive axle is provided with two stabilizer bars (5, 6) extending essentially perpendicular to the two swinging arms while connected them. The inner face (7) of each swinging arm is fixed to the end of one of the bars (5, 6) whereas its outer face (8) is fixed to the end of the other bar, each arm (2a, 2b) being provided with a through hole (9) through which the bar whose end should be fixed on its outer face can pass. This results in a compact assembly. The invention also relates to a method for assembling two stabilizing bars on a flexible axle.</p> |
