The invention relates to a method for producing a permanent dental crown. Th e blank comprises a dental module (1) and a support (2'). A preparation is applied to the underside that serves to join it to an anchoring element (scr ew element or tooth stump). The invention provides that the dental module (1) a nd the support (2') are made from the same material in a first process that mak es it possible to obtain a high surface quality. In a second process, both modules (1, 2') are joined to one another and can be subjected to a subseque nt processing. The inventive method leads to a high dimensional stability of th e resulting crown and enables the use of inexpensive synthetic materials for a n attractive high-quality permanent dental prosthesis.
