<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information presentation system for presenting information to a user without requiring a special operation to the user. <P>SOLUTION: The information presentation system 10 comprises a server 12. Detecting devices 20a, 20b which are arranged at prescribed distance in a certain area are connected to the server 12. When the user having a tag 22 exists in the area, the detecting devices 20a, 20b detect identification information from the tag 22, detect a radio wave strength in detecting the identification information, and input it to the server 2. The server 12 identifies the user, based on the detected identification information, by referring to a user information DB 14, and acquires a message to be presented to the user from a message information DB 16. Accordingly, the position of the user is detected based on the radio wave strength inputted from the detecting devices 20a, 20b, so as to set a message display area at the detected position.
