PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flameproofing-treated wood which prevents the elution of a flame retarder under a high-temperature humid environment and can keep prescribed fire-resistant performance over a long time. SOLUTION: Wood 1 having a prescribed shape is impregnated with the flame retarder, and a two-liquid type flame-retardant polyurethane resin coating comprising a basic material and a curing agent is applied on the surface of the wood. By the crosslinking reaction between the basic material and the curing agent, the flameproofing-treated wood having a hard coating film 2 of a flame-retardant polyurethane on its surface is obtained. In the flameproofing-treated wood, the elution of the flame retarder is prevented so that the wood keeps the prescribed flame-retardant performance over a long time. Since the solid component of the flame retarder does not deposit on the surface, the wood does not spoil an indoor beautiful appearance as an interior material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
