PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce certainly the transmission shock of an automatic transmission when restarting an engine after it is stopped for a certain period regarding the transmission controller of the automatic transmission. SOLUTION: It is the transmission controller of the automatic transmission installed between the engine and the driving wheels of an automobile, which is equipped with an oil pressure friction engagement element 20 on the connection side that achieves a specified transmission step, a transmission command means that gives the transmission command to achieve the above transmission step and an oil pressure control means that controls the oil pressure to be supplied to the friction engagement element 20 based on the transmission command of the above transmission command means and execute the transmission. Based on an oil temperature detection means 15 to detect the transmission oil temperature, the oil temperature at the time of the stoppage of the engine to be detected by the oil temperature detection means 15 and the oil temperature when restarting the above engine, it is composed so as to comprise the oil pressure correction means that corrects the controlled oil pressure by the oil pressure control means.
