PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna for a mobile communication terminal that is mounted on the surface of a case body via a fixing member so as to wipe out disadvantages of an outwardly projected state and can easily develop prescribed performance and to provide the mobile communication terminal employing the antenna. SOLUTION: First and second conductors 13, 14 mounted on a board 12 form a loopback loop whose loopback length d4 isλ/4, whereinλis a wavelength. In designing the antenna for 1.9 GHz band by selecting the loopback length d4, the interval d5, and the conductor width of the first and second conductors 13, 14 on the board 12, respectively, to be 28 mm, 3 mm, and 0.11 mm, a desired voltage standing wave characteristic is obtained.
