PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug insertion receptacle for measuring the current passing through (power consumption) and checking current leakage at normal power conducting state, without a large cost difference in comparison with an existing table tap. SOLUTION: The plug insertion receptacle has a plurality of sockets 19, and an insertion passage 17 in which a clamp part 109 of a clamp ammeter 101 is inserted is formed on the case 11 between a cable lead-in port 13 and a receptacle nearest to the cable lead-in port in thickness direction, in a manner of being interposed between one electrode line 31a and the other electrode line 32b. By the above, one electrode line 31a and the other electrode line 32b can be measured individually, and leakage current can be checked by comparing the measured result. As it is a measurement through the clamp ammeter, the measurement of the current passing through and checking of current leakage are made possible even at normal power conducting state.
