PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign materials from sticking to the light-receiving part of an image pickup element by capturing foreign materials such as dust remaining in a space formed near the light-receiving part. SOLUTION: In an image pickup device 1 composed of the image pickup element 3 connected to a substrate 2 and having the light-receiving part 32, a lens-barrel 4 which houses the pickup element 3 and is attached to the substrate 2, a light-resistant sheet 5 arranged between the light-receiving part 32 of the pickup element 3 and the opening 45 of the flange 44 of the lens-barrel 4, and a lens holder 6, an adhesive agent layer 7 is formed on the surface of the light-resistant sheet 5. Consequently, the sticking of the foreign materials to the light-receiving part 32 can be prevented even if the foreign materials such as dust remain in the space 8 near the light-receiving part 32 since the foreign materials are captured by the adhesive layer 7.
