<p>Process for producing calcined kaolin having a GE brightness of at least 95 %, an Einlehner abrasion below 25 and white colour from soft kaolin clay, whereby a) providing a grinding soft kaolin crude, or a fine particle size fraction thereof that is from 50 to 85 % by weight finer than 2 microns, b) agitating in the presence of water with particulate grinding media, c) removing sufficient particles larger than 2 microns by sedimentation or centrifugation, d) the product is calcined at least 40 % by weight of the grinding crude from step (a).</p> |
