The invention relates to materials used as electrodes for electroslag welding of the large-section constructions of chrome-nickel-molybdenic steels. The composition for electrodes, according to the invention, comprises carbon, manganese, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, cerium, ferrum, tungstem, titanium and aluminum in the following component ratio, mass %:carbon �0,01...0,04manganese 3,50...15,00nickel �4,00...12,00molybdenum 1,00...4,00vanadium �0,01...1,20cerium �0,001...1,500tungstem �0,01...2,50titanium �0,05...1,00aluminum �0,05...1,50ferrum the rest.The result of the invention consists in obtaining welds with ferritic structure possessing plasticity at low temperatures and resistance to the formation of pores and shrinkage cracks.
