PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel having little extra space such as a lower space of the tunnel, having little resistance to a train traveling in the tunnel and causing no increase in train wind which gives an unpleasant feeling nor large stress at a part. SOLUTION: In segments constituting the tunnel of continuous composite circular cross section with an upper part→a right upper corner part→a right part→a right lower corner part→a lower part→a left lower corner part→a left part→a left upper corner part→the upper part, the radii of curvature of the upper part and lower part are the same, the radii of curvature of the left part and right part are the same, and the radii of curvature of the right upper corner part, right lower corner part, left lower corner part and left upper corner part are the same. When setting the radius of curvature of the upper part and lower part as R1, the radius of curvature of the right upper corner part, right lower corner part, left lower corner part and left upper corner part as R2, the radius of curvature of the left part and right part as R3, the height of the composite circle as H, and the width of the composite circle as B, the segment has the relation expressed by the following expressions.
