PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die set with which a forged product can be formed into the uniform outer diameter and thickness. SOLUTION: The die set 10 for forging is provided with a lower upsetting die 19, a movable type ring die 22, an upper upsetting die 34 arranged on a height adjusting table 32, a height adjusting mechanism 50, etc. The movable type ring die 22 can be shiftable in the horizontal direction to the lower upsetting die 19. The height adjusting mechanism 50 contains a first gear part 51, a second gear part 52 and an actuator 53, and the height of the height of the height adjusting table 32 is changed to an upper fitting table 31 by rotating the height adjusting table 32 around the axis Z in the vertical direction. On the way of forming a work W at the interval between the lower upsetting die 19 and the upper upsetting die 34, the movable type ring die 22 is shifted in the horizontal direction by abutting a part of the work W on a part of the inner peripheral surface 40 of the movable type ring die 22.
