PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixture for shearing tests, which applies a test force uniformly on the side surface of a test piece. SOLUTION: The fixture 1 for the shearing tests is composed of a rotating member 2 which has a rotating shaft section 2a and a flat surface section 2b; a base block 4 wherein a through hole 4a used for inserting a bearing 3 which bears the rotating shaft section, and a female screw 4b are respectively formed at lower and upper sections of a column block made up by coupling members with quadrangular cross sections so as to laterally shift upper and lower axes; a locking screw 5 which prevents the rotating member 2 from dropping out of the bearing 3; a leaf spring 6 which usually holds the flat surface section 2b in the horizontal direction; and a fastening screw 7 which fastens the leaf spring 6. When the fixture 1 for the shearing tests is lowered and comes into contact with the test piece, the flat surface section 2b is attached firmly to the test piece while rotating.
