<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attendance management system capable of performing management of an attendant the seat of which is specified while requiring a card reader provided for every seat or a complicated procedure such as input of a keyword. <P>SOLUTION: A student ST takes a seat of an optional or designated desk DES, whereby an ID card TA carried by the student ST is exposed to the detection range of an antenna 33a. Consequently, a radio tag reader/writer 33 is operated to read the student ID information of the student ST from the ID card TA with built-in radio tag worn by the student ST.
