PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tube and its manufacturing method for reducing generation of discharge. SOLUTION: This X-ray tube has a cathode 16 for generating an electron beam 18, an anode 13 having a target area 14 for emitting an X-ray by irradiation of the electron beams 18, and a vacuum vessel 11 for housing the cathode 16 and the anode 13, and forming a main part of an insulator. A metallic film 12 insulated from an electrode is arranged in the cathode 16 and at least a part of an annular area for surrounding a space part before and behind the cathode 16.
