PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of realizing communications, in which a "feeling of linkage" with other viewers is felt, during viewing a content distributed, in real time. SOLUTION: At a communication terminal, channel change is detected at a television receiver connected the communication terminal, and viewing information, representing the current TV program, is transmitted to other communication terminals. If such viewing information is received from other communication terminals (YES in S133), when the viewing information is matched with a viewing information representing a current TV program displayed on the connected television receiver (YES in S137), an avatar, a character image showing a counterpart watching the same TV program, is displayed on the connected television receiver (S141).
