HOOD INSULATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood insulator without sagging due to a gravity for a long time even if the number of fixing points on a rear side of the hood is small, capable of improving rigidity without deterioration of sound absorbing efficiency. SOLUTION: A reinforced layer obtained by binding fibers mainly composed of inorganic materials such as glass and carbon with a binder and forming them into a mat-like shape is provided between a sound absorbing layer and a surface layer composed of a porous material. Alternatively, the reinforced layer is provided in the middle of the sound absorbing layer. The reinforced layer has the unit area weight of 20-200g/m2, and permiability of 200 cc/cm2/sec or more.
