PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin coating composition having an excellent electromagnetic wave screening capability. SOLUTION: The method for producing a resin coating composition comprises coating a composite fiber bundle, that comprises a conductive fiber (A) and a fibrous or rod-like metal (B) having a lower melting point than the (A) and containing no lead, by a molten thermoplastic resin having by 20-80°C higher melting point than the low melting point metal (B).
