PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system capable of communicating using a character data in parallel with voice communication. SOLUTION: A telephone call is made by inputting character data from a character input unit 12, and inputting a telephone number from an instruction input unit 13. A connection request is then transmitted to a terminal 30 on the receiving side corresponding to the telephone number. At this time, a receiver 31 converts the telephone number of the connection request source to the character data, so as to output and display on a character output unit 33. When the receiving side answers the telephone call, a sender inputs character data from the character input unit 12 during communication, and instructs from the instruction input unit 13 to transmit the character data.
