An electrostatic charge image developer comprising toner particles each having a chipped sphere configuration as resulting from cutting off of part of spherical particle by a plane, which toner particles exhibit a deformation degree of 0.20 to 0.95, the deformation degree defined by an average of L2/L1 wherein L1 represents the maximum diameter assuming a perfect spherical particle while L2 represents the length of a straight line segment extending from the intermediate position of chord resulting from cutting off of part of spherical particle by a plane, through the center of the spherical particle, to the arc of toner particle that demarcates the chipped sphere configuration. Further, there are provided a process for producing the toner particles and a method of image forming using the developer.
