The structural element is a strip or plate connected to a strip-like reinforcement body (2) of glass fibre material along its longitudinal faces by an epoxy resin adhesive. The reinforcement body can be a prismatic solid body mounted on the underneath of a stone or glass plate (4). At least one reinforcement body is placed under endangered cross-sections of the glass plate.
