FIXATION OF CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL SENSING MOLECULE TO SEMICONDUCTOR NANOWIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical or biological sensor capable of achieving desired sensing performance.

SOLUTION: The chemical or biological sensor can be constituted of both a semiconductor nanowire and chemical or biological sensing molecules bonded to the semiconductor nanowire. In an embodiment, the semiconductor nanowire can be a part of an array made of the same or a similar semiconductor nanowire. It is possible to supply the array with a current via an electrically conductive wire, and to electrically connect a signal measuring device to the array; and the signal measuring device can be constituted so as to detect the current changes of the array.
