PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward-backward movement operating device for a working machine capable of being returned to a first control state withoutoperating a first forward-backward movement operating means, in the forward-backward movement operating device for the working machine returned to the first control state conducting a forward-backward movement changeover control by the first forward-backward movement operating means by conducting release from a second control state conducting the forward-backward movement changeover control by a second forward-backward movement operating means by operating the first forward-backward movement operating means. SOLUTION: The forward-backward movement operating device for the working machine has a forward-backward movement lever device 30 (the first forward-backward movement operating means) indicating a forward movement, a backward movement and a neutrality and a forward-backward movement switch device 40 (the second forward-backward movement operating means) and a controller 42 conducting the forward-backward movement changeover control while the indication of the lever device 30 is made prior to that of the switch device 40. The forward-backward movement operating device further has a changeover switch 41 indicating a changeover to the second control state and the release from the second control state to the controller 42 by operating a changeover operating member 41a.
