<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion tube which can provide an easy operation until it is placed on a target position in a lumen in a body such as a blood vessel, trachea, or digestive tract, enlarge a duct area, and reduce pressure on the inside wall of the duct, on which the tube touches. <P>SOLUTION: The insertion tube comprises a thin internal tube 2, a thin external tube 3 arranged along the peripheral surface of the internal tube and having a larger diameter than the internal tube, a fluid storage space 6 formed between the inner peripheral surface of the external tube and the peripheral surface of the internal tube, and a fluid inflow and outflow mechanism 9 with which the fluid inflows to or outflows from the fluid storage space via a connecting tube. The fluid storage space is formed via end section connecting parts 5 and 5 connecting continuously the front end and the rear end of the external tubes in the circumference of the internal tube, and via an intermittent connecting part 4 connecting the peripheral surface of the internal tube and the inner peripheral surface of the external surface intermittently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
