<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurizer which can carry out desulfurization of the fuel sufficiently, in which high degree of desulfurization performance can be retained even if the size is compact by making the maximum use of desulfurizing agent without waste. <P>SOLUTION: Since the gas entrance port piping 202 is formed in the perpendicular direction to the axis line A of the desulfurizing agent container 201, the fuel can remain in the inside of the desulfurizing agent container 201 for a long time, and can be desulfurized sufficiently. Furthermore, the fuel is diffused toward the perpendicular direction to the axis line A of the desulfurizing agent container 201 to reach the whole parts of the desulfurizing agent container so that the desulfurizing agent is utilized to the maximum without the waste.
