<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet rotating electric machine in which the influence of an iron loss can be further reduced with high efficiency, and to provide an electric vehicle which uses the same. <P>SOLUTION: The permanent magnet rotating electric machine 1 includes a stator 2 in which a stator winding 5 is wound on a stator core, and a permanent magnet rotor 3, in which a plurality of permanent magnets 6 on which the polarities are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction, are inserted into a rotor core 7. The permanent magnet rotor core 7 has a pole piece 72, an auxiliary pole 71 and a stator yoke 74, and further has a recess part 76, provided in the air gap surface of the pole piece 72 of the rotor core 7 of the permanent magnet and which is smooth starting from the center of the pole to the end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
