PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with a television broadcast receiving function in which not only a program which is broadcast during a call, can be viewed but also the program can be continuously viewed with a time delay after the end of the call if a user receives a telephone call and talks while he views a television program. SOLUTION: A portable telephone set with a television broadcast receiving function comprises a video recording control means for starting recording a television program under reception if a telephone call is incoming and it is detected that an off-hook operation is performed while a television program is broadcast by a television viewing function, and a followup reproduction control means for starting reproduction by following up a scene at a time point when video recording is started by the video recording control means, if it is detected that an on-hook operation is performed after video recording is started by the video recording control means.
