PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can highly precisely write an image on a recording medium. SOLUTION: While monitoring a time interval of a pulse train of an encode signal from an ENCPI section 402 during an instant film sheet 1001 is conveyed under a speed adjusting mode by an MPU 101, the rotation speed of a DC motor 406 is adjusted in such a manner that the time interval of the pulse train may be adjusted within a predetermined reference range, and the adjustment value is stored in a flash memory 104. Under an image recording mode, the adjustment value is read, and an image is written on the instant film sheet 1001 while conveying the instant film sheet 1001. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
