METHOD FOR ASSAYING PROTEASE ACTIVITY USING POLYMER MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assaying protease (preferably neuropsin) activity in high sensitivity with a very smaller amount of a sample than that of a conventional solution method. SOLUTION: This method for assaying protease activity comprises (a) a process for adhering a protease-containing sample to a polymer membrane, (b) a process for reacting a protease with a protease specific synthetic substrate on the membrane and (c) a process for assaying a signal produced by reaction between the protease and the substrate.
