<p>The invention relates to a wiper blade (14) connecting element (30) which defines a hollow, open-topped housing (36) in which a connector (16) is removably inserted. The inventive connecting element comprises: two vertical, longitudinal side flanges (32) which are interconnected by means of a transverse rod (34) which forms the transverse hinge axis (A); front (46) and rear (48) transverse vertical end plates which connect the associated front and rear ends of the lateral flanges (32); and a lower horizontal wall (50). According to the invention, the side flanges (32), the transverse end plates (46, 48) and the lower wall (50) define the hollow, open-topped housing (36) of the connecting element (30). The invention is characterised in that the element comprises at least one conduit (54, 56) which connects the base of the hollow housing (36) with the exterior, thereby enabling liquid on the upper face (50s) of the lower wall (50) to be released, for example.
