Keypad with dense key disposition for mobile terminal devices The keypad consists of key 4 monolithically achieved on the rubber mantle 3 (Fig.1/2) that lean on the plate 8 with the printed embroidery comprised from contact fields 9 as a group of contact places 10 with belonging lines 11 (Fg.1/3). On the bottom side of the key 4, whereon are achieved protruded tips 6 (Fig.2) is coated a conducting (for example graphite) layer 7. The pressure of the top 13 on the key 4 initiates deformation (Fig. 4) of elastic bell 5, wherewith all the protruding tips 6 of the key come in touch with all contact points 10 of the field 9 of that figure, so the conducting layer 7, shortly connects the contact points 10 of the appropriate group 9 and thereby the mentioned figure is chosen. The reliability of the contact is improved by matching the pairs of protruding tips 6 over the each contact point 10. Thereby enabled is significantly denser disposition of the key of quite a small size, even though the area of pressure 12 of the finger tip 13 now partially covers even the conctact points of the adjacent figures, these will not be activated even though some of the contact points 10 thereof are put through (Fig. 4). By introducing the simple processing logic the criteria for the chosen figure can be more flexible by selecting such a contact field where the most of the contact points, out of five possible, is put through. |
