摘要 <p>A pipette has at least one track (80, 82) with increments (84, 86) and at least one brush (68). A location zone (94) independent of each track is operated to come in contact with the brush(es) after they have run through a predetermined number of increments. Thus, when the pipette is disconnected from its power source, the number of increments it has passed through is not lost. The pipette includes a means, independent of the contact zone and the track(s), of detecting that the means of control of the volume to be taken are in a predetermined configuration. There are at least two tracks and the increments are placed so the brush(es) make contact with the tracks following different successions in the direction of travel of the brushes along the tracks. The brush(es) are operated to come in contact with the two tracks simultaneously or non-simultaneously or not at all. The pipette has at least two brushes, each associated with a track, or at least two brushes per track. The brushes are electrically connected together permanently. A mass track (92) is electrically connected to the brushes permanently. At least one support for the track or the brush is fixed in rotation and free in sliding on a section of the pipette. An independent claim is also included for determining the value of a volume sampled by a hand pipette as above, by detecting that the means of control of the volume are in a predetermined configuration; modifying the control of the volume; detecting a contact of a brush with a location zone independent of the or each track; and determining a value of the volume using a predetermined reference value. The predetermined configuration corresponds to the maximum or minimum volume value. A value relative to the position of the location zone with respect to the track is recorded on the pipette. The number of steps run through by the brush from contact is measured and the number of successive contact of the brush with the location zone.</p>
