PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to safely and easily access important files on various file sources.

SOLUTION: This method for managing access to files from a remote client device presents an interface which receives an identifier, determines a remote file source related to the identifier, generates at least one list of most recently used files related to the file source and the identifier, and allows access to the at least one list of most recently used files.
