FILTER FOR REMOVING PARTICULATE MATTER IN EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for removing particulate matter in exhaust gas capable of improving DP catching efficiency without increasing volume and pressure loss.

SOLUTION: In this filter for removing particulate matter in exhaust gas, a plurality of platelike objects carrying catalyst component for oxidizing nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide are stacked and treated gas flows onto these faces in parallel. The platelike object is composed of a platelike object on which length of direction of gas flow is larger than that of the stacked body and a platelike object on which length of direction of gas flow is smaller than that of the stacked body. The platelike objects on which the length is larger are stacked every fixed number by aligning end parts on a gas flow-out side. Carry amount of the catalyst component carried on the platelike objects on which the length is larger is larger than that of the platelike objects on which the length is smaller.
