PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording method capable of recording data by combining a plurality of multiplex systems. SOLUTION: The set value of the first multiplex system is fixed at an arbitrary initial value (a step S 101). Subsequently, the data is kept recorded to a hologram recording medium by the multiplex system A in this state (a step S 102). Then, whether the recording of the data is completed or not is determined (a step S 103), and if the recording is not completed, whether a light spot is shifted to the entire surface of the hologram recording medium or not is determined (a step S 104). In the case of NO, the step is returned to S 102 and the data is successively recorded again by the multiplex system A. In the case of YES, the set value of the multiplex system B is changed by an arbitrary value and is set (a step S 105). Subsequently, the step is returned to S 102 and the data is successively recorded again by the multiplex system A.
