<p>Composting apparatus <B>1</B> comprises at least first and second stackable containers <B>3.</B> The containers <B>3</B> are suitable for storing organic waste material and each has an internal volume of less than or equal to one hundred litres. A plurality of apertures is provided in the base of each container <B>3</B> and, when the first container is stacked on top of the second container, a gap <B>11</B> is maintained between the containers <B>3.</B> When assembled, the first and second containers may be arranged in respective first and second layers. The layers may be made up of a plurality of like containers <B>3a, 3b, 3c.</B> Also claimed is a method of decomposing waste material and a method of cultivating plants.</p> |
