摘要 To enclose a Lewis-acid metal in a polymer and enable the resultant Lewis-acid metal catalyst to be recovered while maintaining the function of the catalyst. The polymer-enclosed Lewis-acid metal catalyst comprises a crosslinked polymer and a Lewis-acid metal enclosed therein, and the crosslinked polymer is one obtained from a crosslinkable polymer by crosslinking crosslinking groups contained in the polymer. The catalyst is characterized in that the crosslinkable polymer has at least one kind of monomer units having a hydrophobic substituent and a hydrophilic substituent having a crosslinking group and that the hydrophobic substituent comprises an aromatic substituent. This catalyst can be obtained by mixing an organic solution containing the crosslinkable polymer and a Lewis-acid metal with a poor solvent and subjecting the resultant polymer micells containing the Lewis-acid metal enclosed therein to a crosslinking reaction. This catalyst is useful as a catalyst for aldol reaction, cyanation reaction, allylation reaction, Michael reaction, Mannich reaction, Diels-Alder reaction, or Friedel-Crafts reaction.
