<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate capable of improving the CN ratio of the information recording medium of a large capacity whose reproducing beam diameter/pitch is 1.3 or larger. <P>SOLUTION: The original plate 1 for manufacturing an information recording medium has a concavo-convex pattern formed on the resist material 3 of the base plate 2. The reproducing beam diameter/track pitch ratio of the information recording medium is 1.3 or larger.
