The method for treating hyperhomocysteinemia comprises the long-term prescription of folic acid in megadoses, vitamins of B group, and antioxidants. Plasmapheresis is also performed with elimination of 25-35% of the circulate blood volume. For replenishing the plasma volume, one use 200-300 ml of donor cryoplasma and 200-400 ml of the solution of oxyethylated starch (6 or 10%) in 2-3 days, overall course comprises 2-3 sessions.
